Deposit Insurance Fund increased the annual interest rate on deposits

Council of Trustees of the Deposit Insurance Fund at its extraordinary meeting held on the 16th of September, 2016 adopted a decision in coordination with Financial Markets Controlling board and the Central Bank to maintain the upper limit of the annual interest rate on insured deposits in foreign currency at 3 (three) percent, and increase the upper limit of annual interest rate to 15 (fifteen) percent on insured deposits in national currency as of 16th of September 2016.

In addition, we would like to note that deposits received with the maximum annual 15 percent by member banks before 16 September 2016 are also considered insured deposits as of 16th of September 2016 and are insured by the Fund.
